It is very clearly cold season. I always know when it begins because I have to replace the tissue box much more frequently. You can also catch me disinfecting and wiping my table and desk down every day and keeping the hand sanitizer close by for myself or for students. But no matter what countermeasures I take, I always get sick. As a veteran of colds, I take feeling better seriously. I don’t want to waste my sick days on a simple cold. So I take steps to help me feel better while I am getting better. The first step is to head to my local Walgreens and pick up some Advil® Cold & Sinus and Advil® Sinus Congestion & Pain.
Many of us need to work through our colds whether as a stay at home parent or so I turn to Advil® to help deal with all the symptoms that come with having a cold. I easily found Advil® Sinus Congestion & Pain in the cold aisle and picked up a card for Advil® Cold & Sinus to get from behind the counter in the same aisle. Walgreens always has everything so well organized and easy to find!
Advil® Cold & Sinus is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended daytime medicine for cough/cold/flu combinations. It is the only cold medicine that has the speed and strength of Advil® and has fast, powerful relief for your worst cold symptoms. Advil® Sinus Congestion & Pain also provides fast and effective relief of your worst cold symptoms with the speed and strength of Advil®. Both help to alleviate nasal congestion, pain, sinus pressure, nasal swelling, headache, fever, and body aches. Make sure you use them as directed.
My second step is to make some Lavender Mint Pillow Mist. An important step to getting better is allowing your body to rest. But when I don’t feel well, it’s hard to fall asleep. If I have a headache, sinus pain, or cannot breathe well it’s so hard to relax enough to fall asleep. A calming pillow mist really helps me unwind and fall asleep quickly. It’s very easy to make, too!
You will need:
- witch hazel
- distilled water
- lavender essential oil
- mint essential oil
- To make the pillow mist, mix 15 drops of lavender essential oil, 10 drops of peppermint oil, 1T. witch hazel, and 6T. water.
- Use a funnel to pour into a spray bottle and shake. Mist onto your pillow each night for a calming scent to help you unwind!
