If you were thinking about adding a casual springtime dress without breaking your budget, you may want to consider this adorable gingham number! It’s only $15 and an adorable choice for spring. As much as I love gingham, I actually don’t own many gingham items. For years I stayed away because I worried it would make me look like a tablecloth or a farmer. But after getting a blue gingham button up a few years back I’ve been able to talk some sense into myself. As a bonus, this dress has bell sleeves which adds a fun, trendy element to it. Given the price, I wondered how the quality would be, but I was pleasantly surprised. It isn’t lined, so I would recommend adding a slip underneath because in some lights it can be a bit sheer. As far as sizing goes, I sized up to a medium and it fits perfectly so it runs about one size small. I am 5’5″ and it ends just above my knees. I am comfortable with the length, but I’m glad it is not any shorter than that! I’m looking forward to wearing this dress more with fun colored accessories like myhot pink necklace!
Last week’s most popular post was from Hilary at Embellishments with tips on how to dress up those casual days. I am loving those wedges she’s wearing!
