Confidence is a very powerful thing. It has the
ability to make you feel great about yourself, but it also has the ability to
make you feel worse than you have ever felt before constantly second guessing
every little thing about yourself until you have no faith left. I am sure most
of us has struggled with confidence at one time or another. High school anyone?
If you are struggling with confidence now or if you know that you are just not
as confident as you feel you could be then here are some top tips that will
help you to get things back on track!
Block Out Negativity
If you don’t feel too confident in yourself then
your inner circle could be to blame. This includes your friends and even your
family as well. You need to consider eliminating thesetoxicindividuals from
your life as this can make all the difference. If you don’t feel as though this
is a possibility, try and take a short break from them instead. Working on
making friends with people who have positive outlooks. You could also try and
put some positive enthusiasm into any projects that you are working on, so you
can then hit the ground running and stop focusing on the negative aspects that
surround you. Seeing the results of your hard work can be a real turn around
for any self-doubts you may have. Look at your achievements and be proud and
feel that confidence rise!

Change your Body Language
Believe it or not, a good posture can really
make all the difference to your confidence. Try and make eye contact, smile at
people and even try and walk taller. Simple acts like this can really make you
look as though you are a confident person, and when you look confident, you
feel confident! If you are talking to someone then make sure that you look them
in the eye, speak slowly and make sure that you are channeling any positive
energy that you have. I am constantly (unsuccessfully) working on improving my
posture. I have a bad habit of hunching over, but when I remember to stand up
tall, I always feel better about myself and thus, more confident. One days when
I look in the mirror and don’t’ like what I see, I try to take a few extra
minutes in getting ready and do something a little extra special to help. You
may also want to style your hair, wear a something a little more glam than you
usually do, or even wear some statement accessories. If that doesn’t seem like
enough, you could splurge on yourself and get a facial, have your eyebrows
waxed, whiten your teeth, or even tryporcelain dental
veneers. These are all great ways
for you to get the instant confidence you need to feel the best you can about
yourself.

Ignore the Voices in Your
Head
Regardless of what happens, you have to make
sure that you are never listening to the voices inside your head.
Low-confidence is quite often caused by negative thoughts running through your
mind all the time. I think we are our own toughest critic, but that needs to
stop! If you find that you are constantly telling yourself that you are not
good enough or that you are not smart enough, ignore these voices! You are
absolutely good enough! Try to give yourself positive self talk instead of all
that negative garbage. Think about all the wonderful things you CAN do instead
of hearing that voice in your head saying you can’t. Believe it or not, this
will actually train your brain and it will also make you feel as though those
negative thoughts aren’t so big after all.
By making a small change, you can have a huge
impact on yourlifeand you really would
be surprised at how easy it is for you to turn everything around with a few
simple steps. Why don’t you try and boost your confidence today? It has never
been easier and you never know, it could bring around some great opportunities
for you as well.
