Unless I will be outside for an extended period of time or it is the dead of winter, I actually don’t really like to wear a coat. They can be bulky and get in the way. I much prefer vests, a warm hat, or blanket scarf if I am just going to be running from the car to inside. So last week when I went to get my hair done, I added this scarf to my outfit to keep warm. It’s actually a dual-purpose piece I got free from DSW for buying a pair of shoes a few years ago (and honestly the best free item they’ve had IMHO). I shared it on the blog last springhere wearing it as a poncho. It made a wonderful nursing coverup last winter as it is much warmer than most nursing covers, which I loved. Now I’m using it back as one of its original purposes! I decided to do a little pattern mixing with this by wearing a striped tee and adding leopard flats. By keeping my outfit colors neutral it doesn’t go too overboard. Underneath the scarf I wore this fun layered necklace from Happiness Boutique. I never seem to have the right necklace lengths for layering so I love that this one does it all for me!
