One issue with living in a colder weather environment is when you need to dress up. It’s a fine line to walk between freezing and looking ridiculous balancing the layers of clothing. Even with fleece lined tights, dresses can be tricky in winter. Depending on the color, what color tights are best? What shoes work with the length of the dress? How icy or cold is it? Can I even wear heels? Taller boots are a great solution! Bypassing the booties and going straight to a knee high or higher boot can work with many skirts and dresses. Slimmer fitting boots and accentuating your waist keeps the outfit from looking too bulky. Also try to make sure the hemline of your dress falls longer than the height of your boots like mine does or that your boots are low enough to show some leg. Having them hit at the same spot on your leg can look a bit odd. This leopard dress is a recent acquisition from Shein. It has a faux wrap style, but a snap at the chest to help everything stay covered. It’s a nice extra detail I wouldn’t expect from a dress this price! I love the fun pleated sleeves, too! Don’t forget to use code Q4idodeclaire for 15% off!
Last week’s most popular post was from Iris at La Moumous. She is absolutely stunning rocking a gorgeous red dress!
