This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own. #sponsored
Is anyone else as excited as I am for actually planning get togethers and parties again?! Most of my family is fully vaccinated and I get my second shot on Monday. That means we can celebrated holidays and events together again really soon!
I really love planning parties especially for my daughters. But you all know I am all about staying in budget. Over the years Ive learned some tips on making the biggest impact on the lowest budget that I’m sharing today.
-
Stick with a color scheme.
- By sticking with a color scheme and using it throughout your paper products and decor, you can elevate the feeling of the party. It all looks more planned out and thoughtful. Besides, you need to buy napkins, paper plates, and plastic utensils anyway. They may as well be color coordinated!

Consider food costs. Make what you can.

- Food is often one of the most expensive costs of a party so plan and shop smartly! There are many easy and budget-friendly party food ideas out there. I know my talent does not lie in decorating cakes so I buy those, but make the main meal and side dishes. Meat cooked in the slow cooker for a warm sandwich is easy and can be inexpensive. Chips, baked potatoes, and pasta salad are all good options. Making as much food as you can instead of having everything catered or purchasing party platters will save you big time in the total cost!

Decorate with paper.
- Streamers, tissue paper balls, and paper bunting all make a festive impact with very little impact on your bottom line. Many stores carry tissue paper balls and streamers for $1 each. Paper bunting is very easy and quick to make. Just find color and/or theme coordinating papers in the scrapbook section of the craft store and use this template to cut out. String them up throughout your home or party location.
- Balloons are another amazing idea that are inexpensive, but look amazing. I was surprised by how easy making a balloon arch was!
