This past weekend I was looking through my fall Aventura picks and trying to choose which piece to style multiple ways. The Alpine dress really stood out to me. It’s perfect for the season. Fair isle is the epitome of a winter print. The soft neutral tones of the dress also makes it easy to mix and match. And the quarter zip style is so on-trend right now. Even the description of this dress on the Aventura website speaks to its versatility, “The Alpine Dress is a classic winter beauty suited to handle whatever occasion you throw at it.” Well, let’s test that out! Here is this beautiful fair isle sweater dress styled 6 ways for winter.
Magical Magenta
Aventura came out with some cheery, bright pieces. I really liked the color of this vest and wanted to pair it with the fair isle sweater dress. I even layered a similarly colored turtleneck underneath. The extra color gives this outfit a cheerful, cozy vibe.

Orange you Glad
Matt was shocked when I came downstairs in this outfit. Is that the same dress?! Yes! Even though the skirt is a thinner fabric, it works layered over top because the dress hits below where the skirt begins to flare out. In fact, I think the dress even helps to smooth out any lumps and bumps. I really like how the rust color complements the soft tan in the fair isle pattern.

Snow Bunny
I’ve always been a fan of a puffer vest and the longer ones I’m seeing this season are no different. It hits just at the right length to pair with a dress. The all-over wintery vibe is so cute! For extra warmth, this outfit would be perfect with fleece lined leggings or tights and some fur-lined snow boots.

The OG
This is probably the most obvious styling. Or at least it is for me. It’s likely the only way I would have worn it before I began blogging and experimenting with ways to mix and match my clothing more. There is nothing wrong with this outfit whatsoever. Personally, I think this is simple, chic, and timeless! It would look good at any event or activity.

Beautiful Burgundy
I really wanted to try a festive twist with this outfit. To amp up the Christmas feel, I layered a tartan button up underneath and added burgundy accessories. This pattern mixing is pretty subtle since the fair isle is in such soft colors and most of the button up is covered, but I love how it turned out!

Very Velvet
In the spirit of the season, I wanted to try dressing up with green as well. This works well for Christmas or beyond since it isn’t so obviously Christmas-y. I only added an oversized velvet blazer over top and my new Teddy Blake Vera bag. The soft ivory fair isle dress really sets off the deep green shades!

I had so much fun remixing this gorgeous fair isle sweater dress from Aventura. It’s such a soft, comfortable dress to wear and the fact that it is so versatile makes it all the better. Most people don’t think about different ways of styling a sweater dress, but don’t limit yourself! Make it work for you all season long! Which outfit is your favorite?
