Dress-c/o Strasburg Childrens (exact)
This past weekend the whole family traveled to southern Illinois for my sister-in-law’s wedding. It was a very busy few days! All of us had a role in the wedding. Matt was an usher, I was the maid of honor, and Claire was one of the flower girls. We needed a dress for Claire to wear for the rehearsal dinner. Although it is fairly easy to find cute dresses for little girls, it can be difficult to find quality ones. We have two other weddings to attend this summer/fall so we wanted a dress that would last and given that kids always seem to get stains on their clothing, we really wanted one that was washable!
Claire had the opportunity to try one of Strasburg Childrens dresses from their Charleston Summer Collection. Because she has been very interested in Cinderella lately we chose the Cape Cod dress in blue. Claire was so excited to have her very own ‘Cinderella dress’!
And my goodness, she looked adorable in it! It fit true to size and was light and breezy made of 100% cotton. Perfect for such a hot summer day.
It had recently rained and unfortunately Claire was walking through ALL the puddles. Another good reason for machine washable clothing!
The pretty detailing and embroidery done by hand, on the front of the dress makes it so special!
Claire really enjoyed practicing her flower girl duties. She couldn’t quite get the hang of when to actually throw the flower petals. The day of the ceremony she ran out of petals halfway down the aisle and decided to go back and pick some of the ones she had already dropped so she had enough!
You could tell Claire felt like a little princess in this. She didn’t want to take it off at the end of the night. I know she will be very excited to wear it again soon. If you are looking for a special occasion dress for your little girl, make sure you check out Strasburg Childrens. There are so many beautiful dresses that are definitely heirloom quality! You can find them on facebook and instagram, too.
I received Claire’s dress in exchange for a post. All opinions are my own.
