Doggone it, I just could not say no to these darling dachshund flats from Vivaia. I love the range of designs that have on some of their styles and had such a tough time choosing which ones to get. After strongly debating their bee and fox ones, I finally settled on the dachshund ones. My thought was the coral color could work well year round as it is close enough to red I can pair it with red, while still being able to pair it with fall jewel tones and some spring pinks. After I had so much fun styling my red Vivaia flats, I decided to share more inspiration with this pair. Without further ado, here are 5 ways to wear dachshund flats!
Neutral Browns
I had to start with some simple neutral. Neutrals are the easiest thing to pair with a statement shoe like this pair. But that doesn’t mean the rest of your outfit should be boring. My sweater has puff sleeves and button details. My pants have a plaid print as well. These help to elevate the entire outfit and make it all look purposeful and put together.

Classic Stripes
I always say you can never go wrong with stripes! I really like the predominately black print on this sweater because it really draws the eye to the darling little black dachshund on the flats! These flats look really nice with many of the popular denim styles like straight leg, cropped flare, or cropped wide leg like the ones I am wearing. It gives me a bit of a Mary Tyler Moore vibe!

Perfectly Plaid
Yes there are distinct Gossip Girl vibes here. That classic prep style that always looks good. The coral color flats don’t perfectly match the red tartan, but it complements it since it’s such a shade or two lighter. Since the loafers aren’t right next to the tartan, it still works.

Dress it up
If you are looking for a workwear option, a simple t-shirt dress is the way to go. I added a sweater blazer for some extra warmth and interest. The best part about Vivaia shoes is the comfort level. They have so much cushion and even a pad on the back of the ankle to help prevent blisters. This outfit with dachshund flats would be perfect for work especially if you have to be on your feet a lot.

A Little Edge
Leather is my go-to option for adding a bit of an edge to any outfit. These Spanx leather joggers are super comfortable to wear and look good with any number of tops and shoe choices. The contrast between the traditional loafer and edgy leather catches your eye and makes a cute casual outfit.
