Holidays are such a busy time whether you are traveling to be with family, or getting your house prepared for family visiting you! With my daughter’s birthday on Christmas, we put a firm stop to any overnight traveling near Christmas. It is important for us that she is able to celebrate at home. Well, that means we often host my parents or in-laws because they want to be with us for Christmas and our daughter’s birthday. In order to help them feel welcomed and comfortable in our house, I make a little guest welcome basket.
A welcome basket for guests is easy, but makes a big impact. It’s also a very useful, pretty way to display their towels and other necessities they may need during their stay.
To be prepared for all the guests, I make sure our house is totally stocked with my favorite P&G neccessities. Thank goodness for the new Costco that recently opened nearby! I was able to find and grab plenty of toilet paper, feminine products, and food in no time!
To make your own welcome basket for guests, gather towels, bathroom supplies like Charmin toilet paper, and anything else your guests may need during their stay. Since the holidays are such a hectic time, I try to include toiletries and my go-to feminine products Tampax and Always because it is so easy to forget something when packing! That way they won’t have to run out to get any of these items if they have forgotten. They won’t need to ask you for extra rolls of toilet paper in case the guest bathroom is out either!
Next grab a basket, decorative crate, or box. I recommend putting in the largest items first. Roll up towels and wash clothes and place them inside. Next add toilet paper, any toiletries, and feminine products. Tie items up with pretty ribbon or add greenery for a decorative touch. Now your guests will feel completely at home during their visit. They might not want to leave!
What do you do to get your home ready for the holidays? Be sure to check out the other P&G necessities you may need in the coming weeks!
