Summer swim season is winding down, but that doesn’t mean we will be less busy! In 2 weeks we will be leaving for a trip then I start work immediately after we return home. Hopefully we will start clearing out the fridge before we leave. That’s why I included Dutch Pancakes and Fish and Chips on the menu. These are both good recipes to have in your back pocket. Dutch Pancakes can be made with pantry staples and use up any extra eggs on hand. Fish and chips are simply made from frozen food so if I don’t make them, we can eat them after we return home.
Over the past 2 weeks I tried 2 new dessert recipes. They were both huge hits!
- Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tart Bars– These have ruined Pop Tarts for me. They are far more flavorful and tasty than the bland store bought option.
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Gooey Butter Bars– Although there are 3 layers to these, they do come together fairly quickly and easily. The gooey cookie dough texture is so good! We all highly recommend them and liked them even more than the Pop Tart bars.
