I hope you all had an amazing weekend like we did! I keep encouraging the kids to play outside more and more. Aveline made sidewalk chalk paint with 1:1 cornstarch and water then added tempra paint or food color. She used an old muffin tin for her colors and spent at least an hour making art on our driveway. I am definitely buying more cornstarch because I need to have this craft on hand all summer long! That gave me some time to shoot these cute summer looks from Shein that I recently received. Here are the details on the cost breakdown, fit info, and my thoughts.
Shorts Set

This lightweight periwinkle shorts set is so cute for summer! I find it to be flattering and fit true to size. I’m wearing a size small here. However if you are in between sizes, I would suggest sizing up. The fabric looks linen-like, but is polyester so less winkle-factor. I love the pleating details on the shorts and top. To add in color, I ditched the wide belt that came with this set and added a thin bright pink one. With my accessories I added in more pink with my shoes and bag. This set comes in at $20 and I think it is well worth the cost. I plan on wearing this throughout the summer as a set and separately.

Spring Floral Dress
Dress-c/o Shein | Shoes | Bag
This floral dress has a cottagecore/historical vibe in its style. It can be worn sleeveless or layered over top of a collared shirt as suggested on the website. Either look is darling! I find the thick band at the waist to create a slimming effect. This dress was very flattering. The straps are thick enough to wear a normal bra with no issues. I am wearing a size small and it fit well. I would say the size small is closer to a size 2 so if you are between sizes, size up. The fabric is lightweight and airy, but I did not find it to be see-through as long as you don’t wear dark undergarments. For only $18, it is very cute in all the 4 colors it comes in.

Flap Pocket Romper
What is not to appreciate about a one-piece outfit? Be it dress, jumpsuit, or romper some days it is so nice to have a one-and-done look. This romper has a bit of a utilitarian vibe with a dash of edginess we see in the zipper, high waist, and silver hardware. I am wearing a size small and would say it’s on the smaller side. I probably could have sized up one just for comfort. This romper has 2 separate zippers and an attached belt. This could make it easier or harder to put on and take off depending on your opinion.
I paired it with some gold flats I also received. I sized up to an 8 (I’m in between sizes) and they are perfect. I’ve worn them a few times already. The soles needed some scuffing so they aren’t too slippery. This cute summer look from Shein would be perfect for a lunch or dinner out, especially for only $20.

Pink Vest and Shorts Set
Of all these cute summer looks from Shein, this set is my favorite by a landslide. It’s pink. That’s enough. And there are so many cute ways to wear it. At only $22, I would say this set has the most value as well. It’s also 100% polyester-not my favorite fabric, but at least both pieces are fully lined. I’m wearing a size small and would say it fits like a US 2. Like the other items in this post, size up if between sizes. The vest has just enough coverage to wear as a top without a tank underneath.

As you can see, I styled this set with an embroidered tee underneath (size small, $14 and SO cute) to give you an idea of what it looks like. I can see this vest paired with a turtleneck or button up in the fall or winter to extend its use even longer. It’s so fun!
