Have you made any purchases during this weekend of sales? I bought some Skinny Mix flavors (we like them in tea, oatmeal, milk, ice cream, and yogurt). I also splurged and got 2 new purses. But if I had needed any denim, I would have taken full advantage of insanely good Universal Standard denim sale. Luckily, I am clearly well-stocked. If you missed my instagram or tiktok post yesterday, I wanted to share about the Universal Standard sale on my blog, in case you need some new quality denim in your closet. Here are 5 different styles and rinses of Universal Standard denim and my thoughts on fit. Make sure to use my promo code at the end of this post for an additional 10% off your purchase.
Beginning last Friday and lasting until December 3rd you can snag NEW and best-selling denim jackets, jeans, shorts, overalls, skirts, and shirts starting at just $35. Most of the denim is usually priced for well over $100 because of the exceptional quality and design detail, so these are the lowest prices you’ll see. For reference, I’m 5’5″ and a rectangle shape. Typically, I wear a size 2.
Farrah High Rise
These flares are engineered to be super stretchy and specifically constructed for a perfect fit and unreal comfort. They sit close to the body and are fitted through the thigh, right down to the knee where they flare out into a refined retro-inspired leg. I’m wearing a size 2 and would say it fits true to size. While they are stretchy, they do not stretch out. They are very comfortable to wear and really move with you. The length is perfect for me and doesn’t drag when wearing flat shoes.

Donna High Rise Curve
This style has a ’90s aesthetic without sacrificing stretch. The Donna Curve Jeans were made for those who have over a 10″ waist-to-hip difference, for a close waist fit in an iconic straight leg style. As a rectangle shape, I do not have a large waist-to-hip difference. The result is a relaxed fit. I’m wearing a size 2 and probably could have sized down for a slimmer fit, but I like them as is. I wore these during our trip in Ireland. They were super comfortable.

High Rise Flared
These are a long inseam of Universal Standard flares. I linked to the closest thing available which is the Farrah High Rise, however there is not a long inseam available. At 5’5″ I can only wear them with heels and probably could still stand to get them tailored an inch shorter. I’m wearing a size 2. I still love them though, and they very comfortable. These fit just a smidge large at the waist, although I would not size down in them.

Carol High Rise
With a high rise and hidden stretch, these are new wear-everywhere favorites. The Carol High Rise Jeans are fitted through the hip and waist. They have a roomy leg and cropped fit. I am wearing a size 2 and could have sized up in these. They are such a classic look and go with a variety of shoe choices. They are very durable, too. And very opaque.

Etta High Rise Straight
If you’re looking for a classic ’90s-inspired straight cut jean, you’ve found it! Etta jeans feature a true straight fit through the hip and leg. Made from structured denim that is deceptively stretchy. Designed in aged denim washes that only look better wear after wear. This straight leg style is very roomy and I’d recommend sizing down. I’m wearing a size 2. It’s comfortable, but think they would be more flattering if I had a smaller size.
