Pink Eyelet Dress-c/o Chicwish |BAG (SIMILAR) | SHOES (SIMILAR, SIMILAR)
Hmmm. What do I say about a dress such as this? Where to even start? There are so many things to love about it. I’m not sure if the bold pink color caught my eye first or the eyelet. Eyelet has been around for ages. Over 300 years in fact. Eyelet is considered to be a type of all white embroidery that originated in Eastern Europe. Clearly, eyelet has evolved from typically all-white, to solid colors, to this mix of pink background and colored embroidery.
This pink eyelet dress has so much visual interest with just the eyelet fabric! But there are tiny fabric buttons down the front, puff sleeves, and a flattering wide panel at the waist. Maybe I have way too many eyelet pieces already But I’m eyeletting this plane. Err, piloting. So of course I had to get it! I’m wearing a size small and would say it fits TTS. It’s fully lined too so no need to worry about the peekaboo holes from the eyelet fabric. Since this is such a showstopper, I just kept the accessories simple. I did get a lot of comments on these shoes on instagram when I shared them with Thursday’s post. They are years old from amazon, but the two pairs I linked to are VERY similar!
Last week’s favorite post was from Shauna at Lip Gloss and Lace with the cutest 4th of July outfits. I love her patriotic pairings!
