Here in the midwest, winter is still very present. Since it isn’t uncommon to get significant snow through March, I still have winter clothing on the mind. It’s a great time to do some shopping while winter items are on sale and clearance. Since I’ve gotten great feedback on my past Walmart reviews, especially my most recent Walmart Denim Review, I wanted to include a Walmart winter clothing review, too. Check out my picks and reviews below as well as sizing tips.
Free Assembly Placket Popover, $28
I’m wearing this in a size XS. Gosh I wish it was available in a size small! It’s super soft and I love the bubblegum pink color. The XS fits, but I’d like it just a bit longer.
Time and Tru Mixed Stitch Sweater, $15
This sweater is super cute and a great price at only $15. I’m wearing a size small here and I think it’s a nice size. Not too oversized and not too snug. I just have so many sweaters that this one ended up going back.
Free Assembly Women’s Oversized Puffer Vest, $24
I really wanted this vest and love the pinstripes. But after seeing it on me, I’m too short to pull off this oversized style. Boo! If I was a few inches taller it would be mine! It was a little darker blue in person than it shows on the website. I’m wearing a size small here. It was made well and I think it’s a good price for the item.
Free Assembly Women’s Placket Sweatshirt, $19
This sweatshirt is the same cut as the pink popover, but made of a different material. This is reflected in the price which is $9 cheaper compared to the popover. I’m wearing a size small here and I like the fit much more than the XS. Overall, I really like it!
Time and Tru Puff Sleeve Sweater, $23
This sweater could go either way. It does run a bit big-I’m wearing a size small. It’s also very stretchy and could end up misshapen if you aren’t careful. Personally, I am going to pass on this one.
Time and Tru Hearts Sweater, $17
There are so many cute options in this sweater and I strongly urge you to check them out, especially if you see them in store! Unfortunately, I was only able to get one in an XS. I’m passing on this one, but only because I really wanted either of the pink options instead and I know I shouldn’t settle!
Free Assembly Women’s U Neck Top, $18
Well if you want to show off your collarbones, this is the top! The ties at the sleeves are so cute. They stay tied and they are short so they won’t be getting in your soup or anything. I would say this top runs a bit small. I’m wearing a size small and the sleeves were an inch or two too short. Otherwise, it is a really cute top.
No Boundaries Scoop Neck Top, $18
What a fun date night top! It comes in 4 different colors. I’d say it fits well, but keep in mind this is a Junior’s brand so you may want to size up. This is a size small, but there wasn’t a medium available when I ordered. It looks fully restocked now so I may need to exchange it!
Time and Tru Pointelle Sweater, $20
This is such a gorgeous color and soft fabric. I liked the overall look of it and the softness. I’m wearing a size small and would say it fits true to size.
Time and Tru Sweatshirt Dress, $18
Who doesn’t love a cozy sweatshirt dress?! I don’t know what I was thinking when I ordered this one. It’s basically the same color as my skintone. Ha! I should have ordered it in the pretty turquoise shade. It’s super soft and cozy. The elastic waistline gives it shape and it has pockets! I think it runs a tad small. I wish I would have size up to a medium and gotten a different color.
Time and Tru Henley Sweatshirt Dress, $20
Yay! Another cute sweatshirt dress! I like this one even more than the last. The collar and ruffle at the bottom just does it for me. I am hopefully exchanging this one for the navy or pink color though. I’m wearing a size XS here and think it fits on the larger size. I would size down. It’s a little thin and not quite as cozy as the other dress, too.
Time and Tru Faux Leather Leggings, $15
I’ve wanted to try these leggings for a while, and finally snagged them while they were in stock in my size. These are a size small. I have had the Spanx version for just over 5 years. The leather wore off on the knees and inner thigh about 2 years in. I’m on my second pair. This Walmart pair of faux leather leggings is way cheaper. I would say they are possibly more comfortable. They feel more silky, but there is no shaping or compression. It’s nice not having to worry about being careful about them since they are so inexpensive.
So there you have it! Twelve different winter items from Walmart all under $30 a piece. Which were your favorites? Or did I miss any? Tell me in the comments below!
