In last month’s Simply Earth box, my favorite recipe was learning how to make floating candles. This month’s essential oil box is all about the candles! I loved making three different types of candles and learning to use beeswax sheets. See what else is in the Simply Earth August box- there are some fantastic recipes inside!
This month’s Simply Earth August box contains a 3 beeswax sheets, candle wick, 3 leaf molds, and 4 specially curated essential oils. This month’s essential oils are:
- Blood Orange- uplifts, stimulates, cleans
- Fir Needle- supports respiration, calms, soothes
- Peppermint-energizes, soothes
- Liquid Luck- calming uplifting
The month’s recipes are Reading Nook Diffuser Blend, In the Moment Roll-On, Twin Twirly Candles, Beeswax Pillar Candle, Rolled Beeswax Tapered Candle, and Liquid Luck Wax Tarts.
Reading Nook Diffuser Blend
I’m a big fan of this cozy scent. The blend of citrus, mint, and a hint of fall is just perfect for August.
In the Moment Roll-On
This roll-on helps you feel centered. It is perfect for this time of year when last minute trips and back to school planning can be overwhelming!
Twin Twirly Candles
I had so much fun making candles with the beeswax sheets! They are perfect for kids to try out as well. The unique shapes of these candles makes them really eye catching.
Beeswax Pillar Candle
This is a thicker version with a beeswax sheet. I’m eager to burn it and see how much of the essential oil was absorbed since you just rub it on with a cotton ball.
Rolled Beeswax Tapered Candle
This candle is made with the long edge of a beeswax sheet. I almost think it could have used a bit more thickness because it was hard to find a candleholder thick enough. But it looks so cute! Even though the beeswax sheet sometimes cracked/ripped they were very easy to work with and press together again. I can’t wait to burn them now.
Liquid Luck Wax Tarts
How cute are those tiny leaf molds?! I’m really happy to add them to my essential oils collection for future use. These tiny tarts were easy to make and very quick. Since we don’t have a wax warmer, we added them to a bowl in our bathroom and even made extra to put in a few of our dresser drawers. They are darling!
