I hope you all had a happy and safe 4th of July if you are in the states. Matt and I were so saddened to hear about the active shooter during the Highland Park parade yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. I wish I had the words. It needs to stop. We need to feel safe, whether it is watching a parade with our family, going to school, or being pulled over. I wish I had the answers, but right now all I have are prayers.

There really isn’t any good transition from that. We were able to celebrate Sunday with friends and watch the fireworks from our yards. We were fortunate to have a wonderful time. This darling Aventura pinstripe romper would have worked with some red accessories for the day, but we had a hippie theme for the party so I ended up wearing flare jeans and a lacy tank for a bit of a retro vibe. When I wore this pinstripe romper I went with my favorite summer color to accessorize with-pink! A few bracelets, earrings, and sandals can pack a punch!
I’d say this romper runs TTS. I’m wearing a size small and feel very comfortable in it. However I do like having a bit extra fabric above the waist tie so it puffs out a bit and almost makes it look like a 2 piece set. Either way, it’s cute and comfy!
