Summer is most certainly a time to pull out that little white dress for all of the fun occasions planned. Any accessory color will complement your LWD. It can be paired with sneakers, sandals, flats wedges, or heels. From a simple everyday outfit to a night out, a white dress is a wonderful option! When it comes to choosing the perfect little white dress, the endless options can make it difficult. Recently I’ve had an influx of white dresses to my closet so I’d like to share my thoughts on 2 of them and do a little white dress review for you all. Since these are 2 very different dresses, I don’t want to compare the styles. Rather I’d like to share the overall quality and value of each. Here is my review with the pros and cons of the white dresses I received from Aventura and Shein.
SHEIN White Midi-Dress
First off, this midi-style little white dress has some beautiful details that make it very eye-catching. The details on the neckline, tiered skirt with lace detail, and lace detail at the sleeves set it apart. It does come with a matching white cloth belt, but I went with a woven belt instead. At first glance, it looks cool, crisp, and far more expensive than its $26 price tag.

The cons? Well there aren’t too many. The fabric feels close to a cotton, but is listed as polyester. This can be a drawback for some. It does wrinkle easily. I would also say it fits a tad small. I’m wearing a size medium (one size up from my typical size) and it is perfect. The back zipper makes it easy to put on. The transparency of white can be a concern. This dress does not have a lining. It’s fairly opaque, but I did wear a slip and nude undergarments just to be safe, though. One other small con for me is the trim on the tiered skirt does not extend to the back. I think it would look a lot more expensive if the trim on each tier went around the entire circumference of the dress.

Overall, I’d say the verdict is good, especially considering the price. You can use code SSV381 for an extra 15% off your purchase on Shein.
AVENTURA Sundress

This LWD from Aventura is a shorter style that I actually prefer. I’m wearing a size small here and would say it fits TTS, but you may be able to order a size down if you wish to have a slightly more fitted look. The dress comes with a slip sewn in to help with any transparency issues. It also has pockets! Score! Aventura used organic cotton material to make this white dress so I find it to be more breathable compared to the Shein polyester. The pintucks at the bodice are flattering, too. I find the quality and skill of the sewing is better. The seams are stronger and straighter. And it is machine washable!
Some cons to be considered are certainly the higher price tag. This dress comes in at $95 at most stores in a variety of colors. However you can find it currently on sale for between $31-51 dollars at Dillards. The pullover style can be a bit more difficult to get on. I find that I tend to get makeup all over the dress or mess up my hair when I put on a pullover dress.

Overall, I think this dress is more of an investment, but worth it. Aventura designs pieces that stand the test of time from a quality and style standpoint.
