Although Claire’s birthday is in late December, due to the Covid surge in the area at that time, we chose to delay having a party for her. Just over a week ago, we were able to celebrate her birthday with a fashionably late pool party at Goldfish Swim School!
Claire had a few choices of how and where she wanted to celebrate her party for her last year in the single digits (ha!). There was no debate. She chose a Goldfish birthday party hands down. That says a lot more about a swim school than anything I’m about to add!
Getting the date set up was very easy. The Goldfish staff has always been very helpful and communicative. They always returned my calls quickly and were able to answer any questions I had.
The Perks
After hosting the party I can say there were so many amazing aspects to hosting it at Goldfish.
The main perks of a Goldfish birthday party:
- the entire pool, changing room, and waiting area for yourself and your guests-no sharing!
- you can invite up to 24 guests to be in the water so no one feels left out
- invites are included
- 24 cupcakes are included
- the Goldfish staff sets up tables for presents, food, and your guests
- ALL THE TOYS IN THE WATER!
- weather isn’t a factor since the pool is indoors and heated (perfect for those fall/winter bdays)
- you can bring your own food (we had pizza delivered and brought in drinks and snacks)
- the Goldfish staff cleans it all up at the end!
- the depth of the pool is only up to 4′ so even inexperienced swimmers feel comfortable (and life vests are also available)
My Thoughts
The birthday party was held on Sunday from 3-5pm. It was perfect timing because there are rarely other conflicts with sports or activities on Sunday afternoons. All except one child invited was able to attend!
The kids had so much fun! They were able to have free swim for almost an hour and a half. It was a blast seeing them goof around together. Then it was time for pizza and cupcakes. I think the timing on it all was perfect. Any longer in the pool would have been too much, but less wouldn’t have been enough.
I had many parents comment about how it was a great party. It was really nice to have the entire pool and building to ourselves. There was plenty of room for everyone. Would I host a party at Goldfish again? Absolutely! I am sure Aveline would love to have a pool party for her friends eventually! The most important thing was that Claire had fun and enjoyed herself. That is priceless!
