Oh man, it was certainly a HOT one! This weekend was really humid and temperatures were high (for us). It made me really happy I signed up for the 10K distance and not the half marathon. Yikes! I’d like to say I can’t imagine running a half marathon in heat like that, but I don’t think my half marathon last month was too far off temperature-wise. Since the 1/2 marathon due to Covid, the one I ran last month wasn’t meant to be a warm-weather marathon! A 10K is not nearly as daunting as a half marathon. So I was able to push myself to run a sub 8 minute pace (7:43). I finished 5th female, 1st in my age group. Woohoo!
For the rest of the weekend it was all about staying cool so this flowy tiered rust colored dress was perfect. I really like the how the color pairs well with brighter colors for summer like turquoise. But add a cardigan or light jacket and a pair of boots and this dress will work well into fall, too!
How did you handle the heat this weekend?
