This month’s essential oil box includes castor oil, vegetable glycerin, beet root powder, 2 lip balm tubes and 4 essential oils. The essential oils included in this month’s box are:
- Amryis- calms, cleans, good for skin care
- Tea Tree- uplifts, cleans, good for skin care
- Palmarosa- calms, soothes pain, good for skin care
- Beauty Within- improves skin appearance
This month’s recipes include Beautiful Skin Roll-On, Soothing Facial Essence, Natural Beauty Diffuser Blend, Hair Growth Support Serum, DIY Shiny Pink Lip Balm, and Grow & Flow Hair Mask.
Natural Beauty Diffuser Blend
I’ve never tried tea tree oil in a diffuser. I typically use it in cleaning products or shampoo or skincare. It was fun to use it this way as part of this blend!
Beautiful Skin Roll-On
This roll-on is perfect for spot-targeting areas. I have been using it under my moisturizer at night.
Grow & Flow Hair Mask
I’ve heard of using egg in hair masks before, but of course, I’ve never known what essential oils are beneficial to hair. The nice thing about this recipe is that you can make this up to 2 days ahead of time and refrigerate it before use.
DIY Shiny Pink Lip Balm
My favorite recipe of the month! I use lip balm all the time, but without any color I basically look like a corpse. I have very little color in my lips so this very light pink is just enough to bring me back to the land of the living! Happily there was more than enough for the 2 tubes so if you make this have an extra 1-2 tubes or small pot on hand for the extra!
Hair Growth Support Serum
I loved that I could make this right in the castor oil container! I ended up making it in the glycerin container, but Simply Earth’s tip was really appreciated! I never purchase new containers and try to use what I have on hand so this size was just right! Now I need to remember to apply this tomorrow night before my Saturday wash day. I can’t wait to see how it works! I am always looking to help strengthen my hair since I use heat to style it and I love that this is a natural serum.
Soothing Facial Essence
It’s serendipitous! I just ran out of my daily essence! I sometimes use essence in lieu of a toner. It depends on my current skin issues and the products I have on hand. I had no idea how easy a facial essence was to make and how inexpensive! This feels so nice on the skin before I apply my serums.
The Simply Earth subscription box is a wonderful opportunity to begin using essential oils more and making useful and fun items you can use in your home. Next month’s box is sure to be a good one! As the days get longer, you may have trouble getting a full night’s sleep. Next month’s box contains the sleepy blend essential oil along with copaiba, balsam fir, and juniper berry. I can’t wait to see what is in store!
