I’ve been excited to be dressing in lighter layers now, too! This kimono arrived last week and I wanted to create more of a spring outfit with it. Kimonos are easy to throw over shorts or a dress for summer, but since they are such a lightweight layer, they don’t exactly add warmth on those chillier spring days. So with that in mind, I wanted to use warmer layers underneath to compensate! Light pink ankle length pants and a simple white long sleeve tee are so easy as a base for this gorgeous knee-length kimono and match the colors in the paisley print perfectly! White booties stay in line with a spring color palette, but still cover my feet. It’s spring perfection!
Currently, we are in the in between time of winter ending and spring sports not-quite-beginning. I’m loving this more relaxed schedule before activities take up a lot of our time! Both girls are signed up for soccer this spring. and I’m really excited to have them in some organized sports! Although I had to sign them up through different organizations since Aveline isn’t old enough for the park district soccer league. They are going to have so much fun!
Last week’s most popular post was from Yvonne at Funky Forty who shared a super cute outfit and tips to help you master color blocking!
