Today I am linking up with Leslie at Once Upon a Time, Happily Ever After for her 10 Things on the 10th linkup today. Last month was all about love and this month we are sharing 10 things we love about spring! It’s just around the corner and I love the warmer temps already! Here is what else I love!
- Open windows- I love when the weather warms up to the point where you can open windows and hear the birds and sounds from outside. It’s so peaceful to me. Many times I don’t have time to go outside and enjoy the weather because I am getting other things done, but having the windows open is lovely!
- Daffodils and tulips- I’ve never seen a flower I didn’t like! First seeing those shoots of green pop up when everything else is still so brown and grey always gives me hope winter is over. And even better when they bloom! They are such bright and cheerful flowers.
- Easter- A family holiday ideally not spent crammed inside a house? I’m in! There is something magical about celebrating the resurrection all while the world is awakening for spring. And the kids’ get so excited for the cute egg hunts. It’s adorable, sweet, and miraculous.
- Good running weather– Spring weather is so nice for running (most of the time). It’s sunnier and temps are often in the 40s and 50s which is just perfect!
- Playing outdoors- Inevitably our children get some outdoor toys for their birthdays and Christmas that that cannot use until spring. It’s like celebrating all over again when they are able to pull them out and play with them outside. And they get all of their energy out and sleep SO well at night!
- No more coats- Sure jackets can make a cute layer, but isn’t it nice to wear them from choice rather than necessity?
- See ya later shovel!- No more getting up extra early to snow blow or shovel the driveway and sidewalks. Hurray! And no more struggling around giant snow piles and unshoveled sidewalks with a stroller.
- Shoe options- After living in snow boots for 3+ months it is nice to have some options again! No more snow and ice means I can wear flats, sneakesr
- Spring Break- Most years we have spring break and go on a small trip. Of course last year and this year that won’t be happening, but I think in 2022 we can get back to our spring break tradition! I love visiting my in-laws in Arizona and enjoying the warm weather!
- Outdoor eating-I’m not talking about the kind you need to have because of Covid. I’m talking about enjoying the weather while being served delicious food! I absolutely love to eat on the patio at restaurants and look forward to it each spring.
