I think as I get older, the earlier I begin to think about holiday gift giving. I think this is for several reasons; I have more and more people in my life I’d like to get a gift for, I like to make some of my gifts so it takes time, we have a Christmas baby, and our budget is a bit larger than it was say, 10 years ago which means more gifts! Gift cards are a popular option, and certainly one that I love to receive, I try to avoid them because they can feel a bit impersonal. I mean no thought really goes into it other than choosing the store to buy from. Next time you find yourself in need of a gift for someone, try one of these gift ideas you can give to anyone anytime to surprise and excite your loved one.
Watches
Watches are a classic gift—and for good reason. Not only are they practical, but they can also be a great accessory to complement any outfit. There’s no one-watch-fits-all, so you can give one even if someone already has one. For someone who’s active, a durable sports watch with a fitness tracker could make a great gift. Those who like to run at night, for example, would probably benefit from Luminox watches, which are luminescent and made to last. Or loved ones who love to swim might like a diving watch that they can wear in the water, while those who spend time in the great outdoors may prefer shock and water resistant watches. For someone who has a lot of formal obligations, you can never have too many classy, timeless dress watches.

Most people have things they need to carry around on a regular basis—whether for work or just day to day—which is why items like purses, briefcases, wallets, etc. make such great gifts. You can buy someone a replacement for a bag or wallet that is worn from use or look for something stylish to add to their rotation. Next time you hang out with someone you’re shopping for, pay attention to the state of their wallet if they pull it out or their purse if they’re wearing one. If it looks like it’s seen better days, look for a replacement in a similar style. Or if your friend has a different bag every time you see them, I am sure they would love an addition to their collection. They’re bound to love more options to switch it up.
Subscription Boxes
Subscription boxes have only grown in popularity in recent years. With more of these services on the market than ever, there are plenty to choose from. Gifting a subscription box supplies the recipient with exciting items not only on that particular occasion but also throughout the year, giving them something to look forward to every month. You can find an option for just about any interest, such as makeup, coffee, pet goodies, true crime, and more! And it’s just as easy as a gift card!
Scents
Who doesn’t love a good, comforting smell? If you know someone’s favorite scent or a particular one that sparks a happy memory for them, then get something along those lines. Maybe they have a specific perfume or cologne that they like to wear and could use a new bottle. Or maybe their home always smells like lavender or citrus, in which case you could get them a scented candle. If they’ve talked about how their grandma’s house always smelled like fresh-baked cookies—they make candles with that scent, too. For the essential oils junkie, a cute diffuser for their office or home might be appreciated. If you don’t know what to go with, it is definitely okay to ask them. That way, you can get them something you know they will love and use. And if you really know them well, scented lotions, bath soaps or gels, or perfume!

Tech Accessories
There’s no such thing as too many accessories for our devices. With audio technology constantly improving, a good set of wireless earbuds, noise-canceling headphones, or a blue-tooth speaker can make a great gift. A smartwatch is a fantastic gift for anyone, offering convenience, fitness tracking, and seamless connectivity. Whether they use it to stay organized, monitor their health, or keep up with notifications, it’s a versatile accessory that fits into any lifestyle. To make it even more personal, consider adding interchangeable watchbands—silicone for workouts, nylon for everyday wear, or leather for a more refined look. With the right smartwatch and bands, they can customize their style while enjoying all the benefits of wearable tech.
If you know someone who slowly builds their indoor golf lounge, some of the typical gifts you can give are speakers, lights, and protective cases of their golf launch monitor. Even if they already have one, they could probably use an extra to leave at the office or in their gym bag. You also can’t go wrong with battery packs and charging stations for cell phones because most people occasionally (or often) find themselves with a dying phone battery and no charger in sight. Help them cover their bases when it comes to powering their devices. And since we all have various tech devices, it’s a gift that can work for anyone!
So this year impress everyone with your newfound gift-giving skills. With these gift ideas you can give to anyone anytime, you can look forward to the joy and excitement on your loved ones’ faces when they unwrap your present. There’s nothing more satisfying than bringing happiness to the people you love!
