Last year I finally got my first kimono. I had wanted one a while, but couldn’t find just the right length and print. But once I had it, I wore it quite a bit! It was a nice lightweight layer while I was pregnant last summer and dressed up my simple white tank top perfectly. Of course I wanted to branch out a bit this summer and get 1 or 2 more. This white floral one from SheIn was perfect. Kimonos add such a fun element to a simple tee or tank and jeans. I added my new crystal studded sandals and this was an outfit I felt good in and was completely comfortable all day while running errands.

In other news, I mentioned in my Life Lately post last week we bought a house in the Chicago suburbs. Our offer was accepted July 4. July 5 was when our current home went on the market. Well I had to invite myself over to a friend’s house (who was very kind and welcoming) because I was basically kicked out of the house for 14 showings the Thursday! By the end of the day we were so fortunate to have two offers and we accepted one. So in two days we bought a new house and sold our current one. I can’t believe how fast it went. Now we pray that everything continues to go smoothly and the home inspections and appraisals all work out! I cannot wait to move into our new home in mid-August!
