This jumpsuit is the one I mentioned in my April budget post. I saw it when I went in to exchange a pair of pants and ended up going home and buying it online because LOFT was having a free shipping promo at the time. Clearly the tags are off and I am definitely keeping it. The jumpsuit fits true to size and with a blazer or cardigan I would say it is totally work appropriate. The back of it is a little low cut for work without a cami on though. I ordered my typical size 2 at LOFT and it fits well (I am 5’5″ for reference).
Here are a few other items I tried on at LOFT when I was there a couple of weeks ago:
This Mixed Floral Ruffle Topcaught my eye and I tried it on mostly because I was curious to see how it looked on a person and not the hanger. It reaffirmed my belief that ruffle sleeves like this just don’t look good on me. My shoulders are too big and the ruffles just add to the volume. Oh well.
This is the Paisley Ruffle Shell. It was true to size and very pretty in person even with the flutter sleeves that I don’t personally find flattering on me, but I have a couple of other blush/light pink floral tops that were too similar so it didn’t come home with me.
I also tried on a couple of dresses for the baptism and wedding we are going to this summer. I loved the floral print of this one called theCamellia Garden Shirtdress, but something about it wasn’t clicking with me. I lean towards sheath dresses instead of a-line so maybe that was it. Either way, it stayed at the store.
I was really hoping this Lace Flutter Dress was going to work. Isn’t it so pretty?! It’s just a tad too short for me and it highlights any little tummy issue you might have. Bummer.
I tried these camo pants on in a size 4 and ended up ordering a size 2 because they didn’t have them in store. The size 2 were too big as well so I had to exchange again for the next size down. They just arrived last week and they are finally perfect! So if you like these, I’d recommend sizing down.
This striped top was one I ordered from J.Crew Factory. It’s a size small, but it’s pretty boxy and very short in length, even if I adjusted the ties on the sleeves. And after I purchased it, it occurred to me that if you are alway cold like I am, you can’t really wear anything over top of it because the tie straps wouldn’t lay right. So it’s going back. I also ordered the Mixed Stripe Sidewalk Skirt from J.Crew Factory. I sized up because I typically do in skirts so they don’t fit me so high on my waist. It’s perfect and really cute in person! I just didn’t have a chance to get pictures yet. It does wrinkle a bit throughout the day though.
