Given our upcoming trip to Ireland at the end of June, I am thinking ahead and trying to get some items I know I will need for our trip so my total is higher than normal. When traveling overseas, I always think footwear first. Europe is known for its picturesque cobblestone streets. Ireland is known for its 40 shades of green and all the rain that takes to make it that way. So when taking into account the possible slightly chillier temps (60s-70s) during their summer, rainy weather, and walking on cobblestone streets, I wanted comfortable, waterproof shoes that weren’t going to cause my feet to overheat. I found these Cougar booties that are leather and suede and waterproof. And they are super comfortable!! I ordered up a half size since your feet expand, especially with walking and I wanted to make sure the width was enough. They are perfect! I am also planning on ordering a pair of blush slip ons. Those might be the only 2 pairs of shoes I bring. I also used credits from thredUP to get a couple jackets. Initially I was only going to keep one, but I liked them so much I kept both. I will be bringing the brown one to Ireland.
I also got a couple pairs of new sandals for whenever the warm weather decides to arrive. The Steve Madden wedges are very comfortable and true to size. When we spent Easter weekend in Arizona, I splurged at a local boutique and got a pair of fun palazzo pants and OTS top. They are out of my comfort zone, but I love them! I wore the pants to a friend’s baby shower recently and appreciated the stretchy waistband (My friend’s mom made all the food and she is VERY talented. I fully appreciated all the delicious treats!).
