The little girl inside of me loves all the pretty pink and red decorations, lace, and romance surrounding Valentine’s Day. Apparently I have passed that on to my daughter. She has told me that Valentine’s Day is when you love everyone. Well said Claire. She also loves to be festive and so in past years I have styled her hair in surprisingly easy heart pigtails. To create heart pigtails on your daughter (or yourself, I won’t judge!) follow the easy instructions below!
I began by washing with SoCozy 3 in1 which is shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all in one. My daughter loves that this line is fun bright colors with yummy smelling scents. I think the lack of characters makes her feel more grown up like she is using mommy’s hair products! SoCozy has safe and effective products that are completely non-toxic. I love their multi-functional aspect to streamline bottles and tubes and helps with the ease of bath time!
After washing, spray with SoCozy Detangler. Personally, the tutti frutti is my favorite scent! Brush until smooth.
Then add a dime size amount of SoCozy Styling Cream and smooth into hair. This helps to get and keep hair smooth and frizz free. My daughter has wispy hairs around her face and this kept them at bay.
Part hair down the middle and brush into pigtails. Secure with rubber bands.
One at a time, loosen the rubber band until it is about an inch from the scalp.
Place your finger into the top part of the hair between the scalp and the rubber band. Pull the end of the pigtail up through the gap you’ve made in the hair to create an inside out ponytail. Repeat on the other pigtail.
Divide each pigtail into two sections. Twist each section and then bring the ends together and secure with another rubber band. Tie with a ribbon and you are done!
