Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Our town goes trick or treating on the weekend prior to Halloween so we tromped all over our neighborhood collecting quite the bag of candy yesterday evening. This was the first year Claire was able to completely decide what she wanted to be. Last year we gave her a choice between 2 costumes. This year she was pretty unlimited. She came up with Papa Smurf. Yep. That’s my girl! Love the unique way she thinks. It was such an easy costume, too! Just red sweatpants, blue fleece, blue gloves, red stocking hat, blue face paint, and a cotton ball beard! It was nice because we could layer her up a bit, too. Claire was so excited to hear the kids yell at her, “Look! It’s Papa Smurf!” And then you had a few people who thought she was the cutest Santa. Um, what? Since when does Santa have a blue face and blue sweatshirt?!
Luckily it was a fairly nice day weather wise. I was fine in a cozy sweater, light jacket, and hat. I wore my new lace up sweaterfrom Yoins. I loved all the lace up things this summer and couldn’t wait to get some items for cooler weather. I was a little nervous since it only came in one-size and I couldn’t find the measurements online, but I took a chance. The size is about equivalent to a small/medium. There are lots of other color options I am now debating. A white one would be great to have, too! This sweater is such a cozy piece perfect for a casual day!
