3 Things You Need for Summer

Summer is coming. (See what I did there?) It might not feel like it, but it is. I, for one, cannot wait. It means time off work, grilling out, picnics, and maybe a night at Jazz in the Park. Today I am sharing my 3 summer essentials that are my go-to for almost any activity!

1. A Classic Denim Jacket

Please tell me you all have one in your closet! I wear mine constantly in the summer. Often times I keep it in the car and then take it in over-conditioned stores to keep from freezing. It’s also a really nice layer for cooler nights. Denim jackets go with literally everything and serve to dress down a dress. They can even cover up if you have a top or dress that is too revealing! I’ve found some great options from Levi’s, Zappos, and Nordstrom’s.

2. A Tote Bag

Summer is a time for sunscreen, bug spray, extra water bottles, and lugging around extra things so a tote bag is always a great option. While I love my Tory Burch tote, I like to go for something less structured and an little larger that can even double as a beach bag. I am crushing on this two tone tote from Simons for under $50! The blue or sapphire blue options are so chic!

3. A Little White Dress

White epitomizes summer for me. It has such a crisp, clean feel so I love wearing white during summer no matter the clothing item. But my go-to is a a white dress. It looks good with sandals, wedges, or colored heels and you can accessorize with any color jewelry to change it up! And don’t forget to pair it with a classic denim jacket!
