The holidays are upon us and so are all the treats that come along with them. I have a definite sweet tooth and love to sample the goodies, but moderation is important for me if I want to keep fitting in my clothes! If I am craving something sweet even after dessert, I often make tea. One of my favorite drinks is mint tea. I have also read that mint serves as an appetite suppressant so it can helps in two ways! I love adding a little bit of sugar free chocolate flavoring (not the syrup) and milk. It tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream in tea form!
Chocolate Mint Tea
makes one serving
2 T. sugar free chocolate flavoring
3 T. skim milk
mint tea bag (I use Bigelow Mint Medley, but you can use any mint tea you’d like)
6-8oz. hot water
Mix all ingredients together and let tea steep for a few minutes to get the minty flavor. Adjust amounts to your liking. This makes a delicious drink for winter weather, but also tastes great cold! You can also use this as a cute gift bag idea and include tea, flavoring, travel mug, and the recipe.
