This summer has been all about showing off skin, with a bandeau top or a bralette. I am a mother of one and no longer in my twenties so while some girls pulled the look off with ease, I dismissed it as something I could no longer wear. Then I got a black bralette in the mail from The Hidden Trunk. I got to thinking. There must be some ways I could wear this somewhat modestly and age appropriately. So I am sharing three different ways to wear a bralette for any age!
1. With a Button up
One easy way to wear a bralette is underneath a button up top. Bralettes come in a range of colors and styles so you can chose one in the same or similar color to your top or add color to your outfit that way. By not buttoning up the top all the way, you add a little bit of sultriness to the outfit without exposing too much.

2. Under a Lace or Eyelet Top
Instead of throwing on a cami underneath one of these tops why not try a bralette? I’ll admit I am not bold enough to just wear a bra, but a bralette adds a little extra coverage making me more comfortable. Especially with an eyelet top like this, hardly anyone will even know you just have a bralette on instead of a cami! It will me much cooler for those extremely hot days, too!

3. Under a Loose Top
I mentioned yesterday how much I love this comfortable piko topfrom The Hidden Trunk. The relaxed fit of it can be a problem when you lean over to pick something up though. Enter the bralette! The feminine, lacy straps are begging to be seen so if there is a top or dress that is loose or you can’t find the right bra to wear, try a bralette and just let it be seen!
