Ouch. I would like to point out that minus the ring the total is less than $120 though! I wasn’t planning on buying much after my thredUP order late last month because I knew I was going to be spending some money on a quality ring. Of course then the J.Crew Factory clearance sale hit, Twice is closing and I had credits there, and then I had ‘coins’ at ifchic I wanted to try out. I felt like I couldn’t let the opportunities pass me up. So I didn’t.
The real standouts this month to me, are the pink heels, gold ring, and my Clare V. clutch. These items have already been used a few times and are all quality. I was really pleased to find the heels after looking in quite a few places. I mentioned in an earlier post how much I was loving them. The heel height is good for work, too. I have also been wanting a gold ring for months. Often times I only wear my wedding and engagement ring and one other ring. I wanted a real gold one that could be dressed up or down. Fred Meyers had a sale and exactly what I was looking for. It’s nice to know the gold won’t wear off if I wash my hands with it on!
I also wanted to mention my experience with ifchic. I had heard a few bloggers mention it and wanted to give it a go and share my experience. Basically the gist of it, is that you register then visit the site everyday and find $6 worth of ‘coins’ hidden on the site. You can then use the coins you accumulate to buy items on the 24th of each month. I started late in the month and had $120 worth of coins. I found a tunic for $110 and only had to pay shipping. It’s a cute tunic with thick tweed fabric. Definitely going to be fun to wear this fall and winter! I hesitate to say if the items are worth the prices on there. I doubt I would buy anything full price, but I will continue to use the site. They have leather bags and cute clothing so it’s worth the shipping! If you do shop, make sure you use credits early. Sizes go very fast. FYI, the tunic I got seems true to size.
Next month I am not looking at buying anything specific. I certainly don’t need anything! It’s also my birthday month so that always changes things! What are you looking at purchasing in August?
