May is almost here and as soon as May begins all I can do is think of summer. Hours spent in the sun, my garden in bloom, and warm nights spent around the fire table enjoying the company of friends and maybe some adult beverages.
Maybe you are like me and are picky about what you drink. I could put a positive spin on it and call myself a girly drink connoisseur! In reality, I have never been and never will be a beer drinker, no matter how many my husband has me try. It’s just too bitter for me. I will never be that girl who can drink with the guys. Give me my fruity drink and I will be as happy as a clam!
So of course I was excited to try Palm Breeze. Palm Breeze is a sparkling malt flavored beverage. It sounded like the perfect drink for those warm summer nights spent outside in front of our fire table. I opted to try the Ruby Red Citrus, but there is a Pineapple Mandarin Orange flavor I want to try soon, too!
It has a pleasing, fruity scent and a light citrus, refreshing flavor. At first I was a little nervous because it has a malt base. Was it going to be like a fruity beer? Was I going to be able to detect a slightly bitter aftertaste from the malt? My fears were completely unfounded. Although it is made with a malt base like beer, I don’t taste any of the malt at all! To be quite honest, I would compare the taste of the Ruby Red Citrus to a citrus soda. The citrus was a delightful flavor, great savored alone or as a wonderful compliment to any summer meal. It’s the epitome of a summer drink perfect for BBQs, picnics, days at the beach, or whatever summer may have in store for you! I highly suggest adding it to your shopping cart next time you are at the grocery store and trying it for yourself! Our fridge will certainly have some the through summer for me to enjoy and to share with friends!
Palm Breeze is hosting a Girls’ Night Out where you and your girlfriends can be pampered with free beach style blowouts, tasty hors d’oeuvres and Palm Breeze drinks. It’s happening in San Diego, DC, Austin, and Dallas!
