So I have a big birthday soon and although I am not too upset about the number, it does have me worrying a bit more about my skin. I have no clue what to use or do beyond the basics and with not wanting to spend money on items that might not work I put myself between a rock and a hard place.
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and has been known to slow aging, even improve wrinkles, skin tone and evenness. So when I had the opportunity to try Valentina’s Even Glow Serum I was definitely up for it! What did I have to lose except some uneven skin tone and sunspots?
When it came in the mail I first noticed the smell. Yum! It smells like oranges! Product scent is always important to me because if I am using it near my nose I want it to smell good! The second thing I noticed was during application. It absorbs very quickly, was not sticky, and had a nice, light feel. It made my skin very soft and felt moisturizing. Having sensitive skin, I was a bit worried about a reaction, but I haven’t experienced any side effects.
At this point, I’ve been using it for just over a week morning and night before moisturizer. I think it might be a bit early to see the true benefits, but I have noticed a few improvements. My skin tone is definitely more even. I occasionally get acne and it takes a couple weeks for redness to diminish, but with the Even Glow Serum, it was gone in less than a week. I’ve noticed more even skin tone all around with sun spots starting to fade and my skin feels and looks more radiant. As for fine lines and wrinkles, I get laugh lines and forehead creases throughout the day. I noticed they aren’t quite as pronounced at the end of a day, but I don’t really have fine lines I can speak to the effects of the serum at this point. Hopefully if I keep using it fine lines and wrinkles will be a long way off! 😉
Overall, I am pretty impressed with the results. I also like that if I were to buy it when my sample is out, it isn’t that expensive. Less than my typical moisturizer! The bottle is small, but it seems like it will last for at least a few months. A good purchase! I hate it when the only products that are effective are way out of my price range.
Have you ever tried a Vitamin C Serum or would you?
