I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas however you were able to celebrate! We spent it at home and there was no stress about driving, keeping the house tidy and clean, or even getting out of our pajamas! We were able to celebrate Claire’s birthday Christmas night with a cookie cake and quesadillas just the way she wanted. (Side note: how do I have an 8 year old!?) Then we went to the Morton Arboretum to see the Christmas lights! While it wasn’t a white Christmas like my kids were hoping, it was definitely chilly so we had a fire in the fireplace Christmas Eve and Christmas day keeping our house cozy and warm. This coat has been keeping me surprisingly warm, too. I’ve always wanted to try out a faux fur coat. You never know if you will like a trend unless you try it! When I’m not wearing it, my kids have enjoying playing ‘monster’ with it on. Haha! But for under $40 I don’t worry too much about it! Fur coats are normally thought of as dressy, but with no where to dress up for, I dressed this down with white denim and a bright sweater.
