Have you ever had a do-over for an outfit? I did for this one! You can see my first try below. We all have things we are self-conscious about don’t we? Especially when it comes to our bodies. I know I’ve never been fond of my arms and shoulders. My shoulders are broad and my arms don’t seem to have any definition no matter how many push ups do or weights I lift. And my waist is my second area. As in I don’t have one. I’m straight up and down so I find anything belted to be problematic. I think proportionally my waist should be smaller so any clothing that highlights that is actually isn’t smaller is not flattering. But that’s ok because I’ve learned to dress around it. After initially taking photos with this jumpsuit, I decided I could do better. With the length of the jumpsuit exchanging flat sandals for these fun leopard wedges from Just Fashion Now adds leg length and a more structured belt adds contrast. I also bloused out the jumpsuit above my belt so my waist appears smaller. And the hat draws your eye instead of my shoulders! They are really small changes and maybe most people don’t notice them, but I do and they help me feel more confident! So if at first you don’t succeed with an outfit, take a step back and see what tweaks you can make to make it more flattering for you!

I also added some dainty gold jewelry like my newest bangle fromOnecklace. You may have seen it on my instagram, but if you didn’t, here it is up close. It has the names of my daughters engraved on the hearts. It is super lightweight and well-made like all of their jewelry. Claire and I have monogram necklaces from them that we wear all the time! Their jewelry makes really special gifts, too!
