We are seeing a lot of the tie dye trend in stores this spring in a new modern way. It’s not all random circles and rainbow swirls of color. This time it is more muted and chic and not just in cotton tees. There are many fabrics and different items. This isn’t a DIY kind of thing anymore! And this season’s tie dye is so much easier to take it from casual to date night. You might even see it as work wear!
1. Go for a Retro Vibe by Wearing Some Flare
We saw it in the 60s and 70s so give a nod to that era with some flares. Crop flare pantsare still being seen and are a nice diversion from the skinny jean that has been a staple of many over the past decade or so. Crop flare pants work well for spring and look super cute with wedges, but you can work them with pointed toe flats, pumps, or sandals. And if it is still chilly near you, try them with taller ankle boots! If your top is longer like mine, try adding a jacket or half-tucking or knotting your shirt to give it some structure. This adorable XCVI tank is out of stock, but I linked to a similar one!

2. Add Some Complimentary Brights
Sure tie dye is a trend that can stand on its own, but have some fun with it! Spring and summer are the times to push yourself to incorporate more color into your closet and your outfits. If your tie dye piece only have 1-2 colors take the opportunity to add in a third color that compliments it! My tie dye top from XCVI is ivory and black, but I added some bright pink with my pants and necklace.

3. When in Doubt, Go Casual with Denim
Can we ever go wrong with denim? Unless it’s a wedding, the answer is, ‘No!’ If you are on the fence about the tie dye trend you can always choose something like this casual black and white top from XCVI. I really like the neutral colors which makes the tie dye more subtle. It pairs nicely with any other colors, too. Or if you want something easy, just add jeans and you are good to go!

How will you wear your tie dye this season?
Last week’s most popular post was from someone I’ve been following for quite a while; Noelle from Beauty Girl 24. She is stunning in her spring floral dress!
