I had so much fun over this weekend spending some time in Chicago. After my morning at the spa, I did some shopping on Michigan Avenue. I don’t really have time to go to many stores in person so this was a fun change and I really took advantage! LOFT was one store where I there were lots of great items so I did one big try-on. They are constantly having sales and many of these items are currently on clearance or up to 40% off!
This top actually has a tie at the side, but I tucked it in. It’s a gorgeous deep plum color. It has a relaxed fit. I’m wearing a size small and I would say it runs about TTS, if a bit on the big side. These pull-on drawstring shorts were one of my favorite items I tried on. They are so lightweight and comfortable! I went home and ordered them online (I didn’t want to carry them around). I’m also wearing a size small in these and they are slightly large.

I wasn’t sure if these pants would be flattering, but there is no harm in trying something on. They are very comfortable and really cute!
I love colored and printed shorts and I really like how LOFT fit me. Their 4″ inseams are the perfect length, too. These yellow were the only ones I could find in my size. Yellow would actually pair with a lot in my closet. I just have so many shorts and liked the drawstring ones more so I passed on these. The top is really cute and on clearance. I’m kind of hoping for a solid color light blue top since that will be more versatile in my closet though.
I really liked this print and picked up this blouse before I saw there was a maxi dress and picked up that to try on, too. In the end, although I liked the top, I have a few floral summery tops in similar colors and couldn’t justify it.
This top was a little too blousey for me. It has a fun printed back though!
This was another of my favorites, but the price kind of dissuaded me. It’s on sale for $50 making it one of the priciest items and didn’t think I could get enough wear from it to justify it. I really liked the fit though! It looks better in person than it does on the website. The colors are more vibrant!
This print is so pretty and the dress has a lovely feminine and romantic feel. But the tie at the waist and cap sleeves just weren’t flattering on me. For someone with a different figure, it would be really cute for work, church, or date night though! For reference, I am wearing a size small and found it to fit TTS.
Oh I had such high hopes for this beautiful lavender eyelet dress. It’s a sheath style which normally works better with my figure. This has no shape at all though. Just a straight line down. It really could have done with darts to accentuate the waistline a little. The effect on me is making my waistline look larger, especially from the side. I’ll be on the lookout for eyelet in other colors now though!
This was by far my favorite item of the day. I just picked it up on a whim, too! It has a belt, but I liked it unbelted, too. With wedges it fell a few inches above the floor and with the belt it was a little shorter than that. It is completely lined and not see through at all, but still lightweight. This was another item I ordered once I got home! I’m hoping to wear it for my birthday next month!
So did any of these catch your eye? Which ones?
