When I first started blogging almost 6 years ago, I was in the process of revamping my entire closet. I was so sick of looking in my closet and feeling like I had nothing to wear. My problem was that I was buying outfits, not pieces. The difference is with pieces, they should have the ability to be worn with several items already in your closet. Not only one way. By buying pieces, you create a more versatile wardrobe and your clothes should be able to be matched in many different ways with each other. I focused on the basic pieces like a chambray top, one color sweaters, black denim, white denim, a denim jacket, and a striped tee. One thing that eluded me was a chambray dress. They were always out of stock, not in my size, too dark, too light, or not flattering. Well it took a while, but I finally have it! This chambray dress fromAventura is perfect. It is fitted, but not overly so, a great length, and a medium blue wash. And it has pockets! It can be worn with any color accessory you can think of and works well layered over or under items, too!
Last week’s most popular post was from Johanna at Johanna Grange showing her fabulous graphic tee picks! How can you go wrong with a graphic tee?! (spoiler alert: you can’t)
