I haven’t gotten myself a new bag for quite a while and I’ve had my eye out for one lately. Specifically I have been wanting a crossbody bag or at least one with a long strap that can be worn as a crossbody. It’s so much easier to have my hands free and I know carrying around a diaper bag soon and baby carrier the last thing I want is to be carrying a purse, too. Although I have a few crossbody bags, they aren’t quite large enough to carry around what I want in my bag on a daily basis. And I wanted a color that could work for fall and compliment outfits easily.

I don’t quite remember how I stumbled upon the Mecari app, but I downloaded it and was browsing when I found this bag. I find the app to be very similar to ebay or poshmark, but I think the prices might be a bit better than poshmark. The coupons and promo codes available were really appealing to me, too! Just joining with a code can get you $10 off your first purchase. You can search by brand name and/or item and then filter according to size, brand, condition, category, price range, and shipping. It makes browsing so much easier! I have been ‘liking’ items so they are easier to go back to at a later time instead of searching for them all over again. This Kate Spade bag was one of the items I ‘liked’ and was my first purchase on the app.
After reading the reviews of the app, some people complained about their policies. From my understanding, when you buy an item the money is held until you receive the item and confirm it was as described. After rating and reviewing the seller, the money is released to them. Unfortunately people can take advantage of that and say the item was not as described so the seller does not get the money. I made sure I purchased from a seller that had a lot of good reviews to decrease my chance of anything happening. I also don’t know if I would sell on the app. But from my first purchase I am impressed! I received my bag quickly, it was a brand new item as described, and I am absolutely thrilled with it! It’s the perfect size and I love the color and price I bought it for! My husband tried it with a wallet and North Face jacket for our daughter and we have had good experiences with those purchases as well. It’s definitely an app to try out if you like purchasing secondhand and designer items for less! If you’d like, you can use my referral code for $10 off your first purchase (I would get $2 in credit, too) with BWTCQJ.
