I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Ours was incredibly busy as always. Matt and I had off work on Friday but we ended up taking Claire to daycare anyway because we had so much running around to do. It was a marathon wrapping session Friday night. In the end it all gets done though. On Saturday my parents came up for Christmas Eve service, dinner, and gifts. Then on Sunday Matt, Claire, and I were able to open our gifts as a family and see what Santa left. We drove to my dad’s side of the family for lunch and more gift-opening. At dinner we celebrated Claire’s birthday with a dinner of squash mac and cheese and pumpkin cake (her choice). Now Matt’s side of the family is staying with us for the next few days and we celebrated with them last night. It’s been one huge celebratory few days. Claire has been loving every minute and I love seeing her. I also cannot believe she is 4 years old now. Where the heck did the time go?! But as she loves to remind me, she will always be my baby.
