Even with our cooler temps here, I am still dreaming of warmer weather and being outside. Vitamin D just isn’t the same in pill form as when you can get it straight from the sun! But as a layering addict, I struggle with ways to make my spring and summer outfits more interesting. I am sharing some tips I’ve learned to help make you stand out from the crowd this spring and summer.
1. Add a bright color or two!
Spring and summer is the time to really go all out with bright colors and neons. You can mix and match them for an eye catching look or add them in smaller doses such as a top or accessories. Bright colors can really add interest to an outfit.

2. Wear a printed bottom.
I have a couple pairs of printed pants I wear for fall and winter, but a printed skirt, shorts, or lightweight pant is far more eye catching than a printed top in my opinion. It helps an outfit look purposeful. Don’t worry, printed bottoms are very easy to style! I have quite a few printed shorts that I’ve paired with bright colors, neutrals, or complimentary colors. If you need more tips, see my post on buying printed bottoms.
3. Accessorize with a few statement making pieces.
Summer is certainly not a time to pile on the accessories. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make a statement. I love sticking with a few pieces that help me stand out from the crowd. One of my go-to summer accessories is a JORD watch. The wood band is so lightweight it doesn’t add to the heaviness and humidity of summer and the colored watch faces can really add so much to your wrist! No need for additional bracelets. I received a gorgeous turquoise face watch last year and still love to wear it. But this year, as a thank you to JORD’s Delmar fans they have released a much requested, limited edition series, The Delmar Drift. JORD has paired Bamboo, Red Sandalwood, Dark Sandalwood, and Green Sandalwood with vivid carbon fiber faces in an arresting array of hue and grain. Some color options may only be available for a limited time so act quickly and indulge with a new Limited Edition Delmar Drift by JORD. If you don’t see a color combination you like JORD’s live chat representative can help you configure a color combination to meet your taste.

I chose a bamboo wood band with a navy face. Navy is my favorite color to wear because it is complimentary to so many other colors. This watch is a stunning piece, but still versatile enough to wear with a multitude of outfits this spring and fall. I love the chunky look on women, but the Delmar Drift is a great gift for your guy, too! If you have a graduate to buy for or with Father’s Day coming up the new colorful faces are a great option.
JORD has an amazing offer for all of you as well. Use code DRIFTwhyidodeclaire35 to receive $35 off of your limited edition Delmar. There are a limited amount of these ecards available so use them now!
